The criteria to be recognised as a Heart Safe Workplace are:

1. One or more AEDs have been installed
2. AEDs are easily and quickly accessible
3. Employees/Residents have been educated on the location of the AEDs
4. Training in the use of an AED has been provided for employees/residents
